Toonz reaches out to students with animation seminar


Trivandrum: Toonz Academy, the training division of the Technopark, Trivandrum based studio, Toonz Animation, conducted a free seminar for students today. The one day seminar was conducted as part of the Toonz Academy’s initiative to spread awareness among the general public and aspiring students about various stages and techniques of animation production.

The seminar on ‘Animation and Visual Effects’ included sessions about the journey of animation through the years, live demonstration on the making of the animation and the latest trends in the production process. The participants also got an opportunity to interact with the experts from the animation industry.

In his remarks, P Jaya Kumar, CEO of Toonz Animation said, “Toonz are pioneers in the animation industry in India and we feel it is our responsibility to ensure that the young students take informed decision while choosing animation as their career. Having proven our capabilities in the International and Indian entertainment world, we consider ourselves qualified enough to understand the expectations of the industry from the young artists. Through several seminars across Kerala and India, we try to create awareness about the career prospects and also try to let the young ones know what to expect once they complete an Animation Course.”

“Having trained thousands of students during the last several years, we believe what actually can help the students to become productive in the early stages of their career. We also see these Seminars as an opportunity for the general masses and young aspiring animators to understand the secrets of Animation film making process. We also try to let the aspiring youth to know that Animation has become indispensable not just in Television & Film world but in almost all the fields and the horizon in every walk of life essentially for effective communication”, he added.

Toonz Animation is the flag-bearer of the Indian animation industry with a plethora of successful productions for all the major cartoon channels in India. The studio is credited with the making of the first Indian animated TV series ‘Tenali Raman’, India’s first animated feature film ‘Return of Hanuman’ and the First Malayalam digital animation feature film ‘Swamy Ayyappan’.
