India Innovation Growth Programme 2011 Technology Expo at Trivandrum


Tvm: A Technology Expo of the DST-Lockheed Martin India Innovation Growth Programme will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on September 29, 2011. Apart from creating awareness about the programme, the event is an unique opportunity for Entrepreneurs and Innovators alike to mutually benefit and drive the industry forward. The India Innovation Growth Programme is an Indo-US initiative to promote technological growth in the country.

The Programme is equally funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and Lockheed Martin Corporation, and was developed with the assistance of the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum, IC2 Institute at the University of Texas, and FICCI. The overall goal is to accelerate the launch of Indian early-stage technologies into the global marketplace.

Ms. Jennifer Byrne, VP – Corporate Engineering & Technology, Lockheed Martin; H K Mittal, Secretary – Technology Development Board and Advisor & Head – National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), DST and Dr. Rajiv Sharma, ED, Indo-US S&T Forum are expected for the Expo. Dr. Juan Miguel Sanchez Mangold, VP – Research, University of Texas at Austin will deliver a session on ‘Creating higher synergies between government, industry and academia to promote innovation and commercialization of technologies’.
