Trivandrum: The first phase of the Kerala State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) Project, a core component in e-Governance infrastructure under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), will be launched on June 05, 2014 by the Minister for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty in Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) is the nodal agency for the project.

The State Service Delivery Gateway Project is envisaged to fulfil the vision of providing easy and convenient services to the citizens through remote access primarily through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and thereby enabling the State Portal by implementing the key components State Portal viz. SSDG, electronic Form (e-Forms), Application and Computing Infrastructure.

The launch of this project will be a big leap for the Government of Kerala in the IT sector. Citizens can make use of this portal to get information on the state, download various applications and also make online payments. It will be a one-stop portal for various requirements of a common man of the state.

It is a core component in e-Governance infrastructure and can act as standards-based messaging switch and can provide seamless interoperability and exchange of data across departments. This portal will be yet another milestone for Government of Kerala who is already very keen on transparency in transactions and activities of various departments.

In the first phase, six services of three departments of Government of Kerala will be launched and more services and departments will be added in the coming days. The services would be available to the citizens at the website www.eservices.kerala.gov.in.

The Common Service Centres in Kerala are known as Akshaya Kendras and there are more than 2,000 Akshaya Kendras spread across the State providing last mile G2C access and services to citizens.
