Panasonic launches T40 budget smartphone in Kerala


Kochi: Panasonic has launched its latest product, the Panasonic T40 ‘Vibe Play’ in Kerala. This 4 inch model, which is designed to snugly fit the palm and pocket while not compromising on the style quotient has many features that make it one of the most competitive budget phones in the market this season.

Weighing just 117 grams, the new Panasonic T40 smartphone boasts of ergonomically designed fluidic curvature which makes handling the phone in day to day use an absolute pleasure instead of a chore. The phone makes no compromise on its core functions either. The T40 comes with dual-SIM support and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA IPS display.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core with 1GB RAM to ensure better processing while the expansive 8 GB storage lends ample space for apps and media. This is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The 1500 mAh Lithium ion removable battery makes sure that the phone is fit for all day around use.

On the connectivity front, the T40 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.

The sharp view IPS screen also promises brighter and wide angle viewing. The phone’s 5 MP camera with Auto focus and LED flash as well as the 2 MP front camera make it stand out in its range. Both cameras have crystal clear image quality which along with the full HD spec of this device ensures the creative user is not left wanting. It also comes loaded with much of Panasonic’s unique features such as Gesture Play Plus, Music cafe (that can also be operated single-handedly) and the Pop-i-player alongside the smart video play control.

The T40 comes in multiple vibrant colours such as white, dark grey and bright red and is priced at Rs. 6,250/-.

The company has launched the new T40 smartphone in a price category that has some serious completion from the likes Moto E, Asus ZenFone 4, and Redmi 1S.
