Kochi: A high-level delegation representing Kerala’s booming IT sector will take part in CeBIT India 2014, one of the world’s biggest IT / ICT events to be held in Bangalore on November 12-14, aiming to attract more IT investment to the state.
The delegation includes Hrishikesh Nair, CEO of Infopark, Kochi; K Girish Babu, CEO of Technopark, Trivandrum; Ajith Kumar, CEO of Cyberpark, Kozhikode; and S Ramnath, MD of Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL).
“Kerala’s participation in the event is expected to give more impetus to the flourishing IT industry in the State. With Kerala now becoming a favourable destination for investments, we hope to draw more support from major investors to further develop the IT infrastructure in the State,” said Hrishikesh.
At CeBIT, the delegation will make a detailed presentation on the major ongoing and envisaged projects of the three Government owned IT parks in Kerala. The team will also highlight the factors like cost effectiveness and the availability of large talent pool that give Kerala an edge over other states as an emerging IT hub in India.
Kerala, the State Partner of CeBIT India 2014, had earlier participated in the event’s Hannover and Australian editions. The event will also serve as a major platform for IT and telecom startups from the State to connect with venture capitalists, mentors and accelerators, who will help these firms to showcase their products and ideas before a large international audience.
CeBIT, whose central theme is ‘New Perspectives in IT Business’, will put on display a range of innovative products, including the latest technologies developed in India that have a potential to make an impact in the international market.
