Kerala to host eIndia ICT event on Nov 14-16 at Kovalam

Trivandrum: The 10th edition of the premier ICT event, eIndia 2014, will be held at Kovalam on November 14-16, 2014. The conference is being organized by Elets Technomedia with the Department of IT, Government of Kerala as the host partner and the Department of Science & Technology as the co-host partner. Digital India is the theme of the eIndia 2014 Conference.

Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the event. Minister for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty will be Guest of Honour. R Chandresekhar, President of NASSCOM will deliver the key note address.

The three-day-long event has been divided into several sessions. Each session, either to be headed by a policy maker or Secretaries, will have speakers from across the country, captains from industries having vast knowledge on ICT and e-Governance.

The previous nine editions of eIndia conferences have received overwhelming response from key ministries like, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the Ministry of Human Resource Development and several State government departments.

The focus of the eIndia 2014 track conference is on the way the different stakeholders interact when introducing ICTs in governance systems and the way these interactions affect institutions and communities, and the related decision making process.

The conference will see the participation of IT majors like Vodafone, CA Technologies, Akamai, Microsoft, HP, Accenture, Wipro, Samsung, Adobe, Cannon, Hitachi and many others.

Some of the other major topics of discussions in eIndia 2014 are Leveraging Technology for Government Service Delivery; e-Governance – The State Perspectives; Financial Inclusion: Reaching to the last mile; Smart Cities: Creating Smart Infrastructure and Robust Connectivity; Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs): Contributors to Economic Development. eIndia 2014 will have special focus on education and health sector as well.
