Digital India is about enabling and digitally empowering the entire country. India has the third largest start-up ecosystem and the fastest growing anywhere in the world. This has increased the power of the Indian IT industry. However the impact on the domestic economy is limited. The Digital India initiative would open up a unique window of opportunities for domestic consumption.”

He also added that a big challenge in e-governance is the manner of procurement. Nasscom was building partnerships and collaborations with different government sectors especially in healthcare delivery systems.

The 10th edition of the premier ICT event, eIndia 2014 was held at Kovalam from November 14-16, 2014.
