Kochi: Delivering on its commitment to constantly innovate, Panasonic India has unveiled its latest quad-core Smartphone / Phablet called P55 in Kerala. The tiled pattern back design phablet has an imposing IPS HD 5.5 inch screen and has the innovative ‘Tap Play’ feature.

This feature enables the smartphone to recognize touch even in sleep mode, ie, users can double tap to wake up the phablet and do the same to revert to sleep mode instead of reaching for the power button each time.

The tiled pattern design is the one defining feature of the phone which keeps it at 7.9 mm thin and 148 g light on a 5.5” frame, thus making it a classy and elegant phone. Bigger and sharper viewing experience is guaranteed by the sharp view IPS HD display. The 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor with I GB RAM is backed by Android 4.4 Kitkat. In addition, the 4 GB ROM can be expanded by micro-SD up to 32 GB.

The P55 has an 8 MP back camera and a 2 MP front camera. The phablet is capable of 1080p HD video recording and has Auto Focus and an LED flash feature. The 2500 mAh battery promises a long lasting support without any compromise. The P55 also comes loaded with Panasonic’s other trade marked features such as the Gesture Play, Music Café which enables single handed use and the Pop-i-Player.

The phablet comes in three classy, elegant colours – black, blue and pearl white and is priced at Rs 10,490/- in the market. Panasonic has included a freebies inbox with the purchase, containing a premium leatherette flip cover, a screen guard as well.
