Kerala Microsoft Users Group organises Cloud DevCon 2015

Kochi: The weekend saw the Infopark in Kochi play host to Cloud DevCon 2015, a developer conference organised by the Kerala Microsoft Users Group (K-MUG) in association with Microsoft.

The event was an occasion for techies in Kerala to engage and collaborate with Microsoft MVPs and fellow developers, build connections, and to learn about the Microsoft’s cutting edge technologies from the industry experts. The full day technology event had sessions on Cloud, Microsoft & Mobile technologies.

During the inaugural session, Joji Varghese, President of Smartcity Toastmasters Club, stressed on the necessity of improving communication skills and the importance of leadership skills for those working in the IT industry.

Vivek Prasannan, CEO of Katalyti.com, shared his knowledge as a serial entrepreneur through his talk on ‘Enabling Business through IT’.

Jennifer Kumar, CEO of Authentic Journeys, presented a session on streamlining intercultural communications happening between employees in India and their onsite counterparts.

The technology session started off with the latest trends in Data Analytics by Dr. Arun Marar, Head of Data Science Department at Orion India Systems.

The knowledge sharing sessions had various interactive and demo based technology talks by Praveen Nair, Yanesh Tyagi, Praseed Pai, Anuraj Parameswaran, Safil Sunny and Krishnakumar, technology experts from different companies in Kerala.

According to Praveen who is also Community Council Member, K-MUG, “We conduct similar free knowledge sharing events regularly every month and it is a very happy to know people in Kerala are very much interested in learning about latest technology enhancements.”

Cloud DevCon 2015 was initially scheduled to be held on March 14 but was postponed because of the dawn-to-dusk hartal called by LDF on that day.
