Kochi: IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the launch of EngiNX, a design and innovation contest for all the Engineering (B Tech / BE / ME / M Tech) students in the country.
The purpose of this contest is to create a mind share among students from leading engineering and technological institutes about the capabilities of technological innovations in improving the quality of life.
This is a contest where students from different disciplines can come as a team and express their Engineering Ideas and make it a working prototype at the cost of TCS. This opportunity is open to all the engineering students across the country irrespective of their college.
Participants would have to create innovative engineering solutions towards addressing the needs of the developing world. The solution ideations are expected from the following areas: IoT, Robotics, Mechatronics, Image Processing, Machine to Machine communications & Remote diagnostics or similar other emerging technology / application.
It is desired to have low cost solutions by applying Frugal Engineering / Value Engineering / Reverse Innovation principles to make it at the most affordable price point will be highly appreciated.
To bring out the best of a participant’s creativity and innovation, while developing their ideas, the contest will have four rounds. Winning students would get a chance to do internships in TCS and top performers may get offered by TCS. This will also be a wonderful opportunity for students who are interested in Engineering and Industrial Service wing of TCS.
