Trivandrum: Technopark will switch back into a festive mode with a series of events being lined up today as part of its silver jubilee celebrations. The celebrations which began on July 27 were put on hold following the demise of former President, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.
The celebrations will begin on Monday evening with prize distribution for the short film contest titled ‘Lights Camera Action’ conducted by Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural forum of Technopark employees. There will also be a screening of the short films followed by a Ghazal evening with renowned singer Padmakumar.
An inter-company dance competition named Tarang will be held in association with Natana, the cultural club of Technopark, at the Technopark Amphitheatre on August 4. Prizes for different contests organised as part of the celebrations will also be distributed on the occasion. A unique in-house event, an eventide with the upcoming sensational music band Masala Coffee, will be held later.
Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the valedictory function of the silver jubilee celebrations on August 5 evening at Amphitheatre near Park Centre, which will be attended by several ministers and dignitaries including IT Minister, Shri P K Kunhalikutty. In the event, Chief Minister will honour Technopark’s formative team.
The valedictory function will be followed by a live performance by music band Thaikkudam Bridge. Both valedictory function and the music show are open for public.
A get-together for Technopark CEOs will be held on August 6.
