Trivandrum: The Technopark-based IT / ITeS solutions company, Phykon has made a leap into Australian technology scene, and has brought on board Dr. Alexander Ross Mckenzie, as its Director of its Australian operations.
Phykon, which has been working for several years with clients in Australia from various industry verticals, has cemented a strong foothold in the Australian Dairy Industry, and is making major strides into other industrial segments too in Australia. With the latest development, Phykon is in the final stages of acquiring stakes in an Australian company, whose clientele includes some of the biggest corporations of Australia.
Dr. Alexander who has over 25 years’ experience in implementing and optimising global businesses, and has held senior strategic and transformation leadership roles with major global organisations across Australasia, Europe and North America with the leadership of teams of over 1,000 in size, will drive Phykon’s existing and soon to be acquired businesses in Australia and India.
Having managed CMM Level 5 vendors in the past, the experience, knowledge and exposure that he brings to the table is unmatchable. Further, his role would be crucial in Phykon’s efforts in becoming one of the most sought-after IT companies from Kerala. Both, his global connections and expertise would play a key role in developing, not only new international business relationships but also Phykon’s existing relationships in Australia and the US.
According to Prathish Vijay, CEO, Phykon, “I am pretty excited and believe this a milestone for Phykon, which will fast-track the company’s growth exponentially. Dr. McKenzie and I have been discussing and sharing various developments on either side, exploring opportunities where we could associate and all that was needed was the right timing. With our recent developments looking positive in Australia, there was no better timing than now. I am confident that, with his becoming a part of Phykon, there is no looking back for us.”
With the new development, Phykon’s corporate office in Sydney will see a lot of increased activity in terms of recruitment and expansion in the coming years. “We plan to recruit close to 500 staff members in the coming year and also plan to open offices in multiple locations worldwide”, Prathish added.
