Air Command holds Golf tournament


Tvm: The annual Air Command Golf Cup Tournament was held at the Trivandrum Golf Club here today. The tournament was inaugurated by Air Marshal Sumit Mukerji, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command.


60 golfers from Indian Air Force, Army and members of Trivandrum Golf Club took part in the tournament that is played over 18 holes in a single day.  Air Command Cup is a rolling trophy conducted by HQ SAC every year.  Started in 1993, it is one of the most prestigious tournaments held at this club.

This event is being held the Trivandrum Golf Club, a day after the Kerala government issued orders taking over one of India’s oldest golf clubs. The Trivandrum Golf Club is also a favourite place for the techies in city and several corporate events of IT companies are also held there.
