C-DIT launches job portal

Trivandrum: Chief Minisiter Shri V S Achuthanandan today launched the Careers Kerala job portal managed by the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT). Every year nearly 10,000 students register for the IT courses offered by C-DIT through the CEP centres spread across the State.

Most of the students belong to the lower middle class strata and are from a rural background. To help them utilize the job prospects across the globe, it was decided to launch a job portal under C-DIT. Since the volume a job portal could serve is huge, it has been decided later to launch the portal in a broader way to serve all those job aspirants in Kerala with active participation of potential employers inside and outside the state and also from abroad.

While there have been a number of job portals offering service to the public, majority of such portals provide poor service and are of sub standard quality and it is very difficult for the job aspirants to identify which sites provide reliable and quality service. Considering this, C-DIT has positioned the job portal as a reliable one by launching it under the .GOV.IN domain and also the site has been created with state-of-the-art technology and user friendly navigation mechanisms.
