RMESI expands operations in Technopark

Tvm: Technopark based RM Education Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. (RMESI) opened their new facility at the Leela Infopark within the Technopark campus. Chris Clements, MD (Non-Resident), RMESI and Russell Govan, Group Director – HR, formally inaugurated the new office on February 22, 2010.

This expansion is part of RMESI’s ambitious growth plans in India. RMESI is also increasing their head count from 300 to about 375 software professionals by June 2010. The opening of the new office will also support RMESI’s move into Shared Services operations. In a release, Connell Viegas, CEO, RMESI said, “We are here to work with RM to assure quality and stability by rapidly ramping up and providing comprehensive services that are cost effective”.

Since commencing operations in May 2003, RMESI has been gradually expanding its office space in Technopark in different phases. In addition to the existing 300 seats in Gayatri building, the new office on the 13th floor of the Leela Infopark has a capacity of 229 seats and is spread across approximately 15,000 sq. ft., out of which 8000 sq.ft. has been fitted out with high end machines on every desk top, an advanced test lab and other state-of-the-art infrastructure – a dream environment for innovative software professionals. Phase two of the fit-out is currently in progress at the Leela office.

RMESI, the offshore development centre of RM Plc. UK, was established in 2003 at Technopark, Trivandrum to provide software development and support services to the RM Group worldwide. RM is also planning to launch its products and services in India. Market surveys are in progress in this connection.
