LDRA to train Testing Pros in Avionics & Defence

Tvm: LDRA, a leading provider of automated software verification, source code analysis and test tools, conducted a highly specialised Technical Seminars on delivering Software Quality and Security through Test, Analysis & Requirements Traceability for Senior Testing professionals from the Avionics and Embedded domains at Trivandrum today. Today’s session is a part of seven such seminars being at six IT hubs across the country.

Talking to Kerala IT News, Shinto Joseph, Director – Operations and Sales, LDRA India said, “Indian IT Companies are yet to tap the potential market of high precision and high critical software testing requirements of the defence, avionics and nuclear industry. As the Indian market opens up, LDRA would like to create skilled and quality manpower to address this domain and these technical seminars are a step in this direction.” LDRA provides research and development, front-line sales and technical support to customers in key markets such as aerospace, defence, nuclear, rail, consulting, and education / research.

Delegates from IT Companies in Technopark like Tata Elxsi, NeST, Phykon Solutions and organisations in Trivandrum like VSSC and ISRO Inertial Systems Unit (IISU) were present for the seminar which discussed Requirements Traceability, Defining and establishing security and quality software practices, Improving the software development lifecycle and Certifying Safety Critical Software (DO-178B / IEC 61508 / CENELEC / FDA processes). The seminars are being held from September 22 to October 1, 2010 at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore, apart from Trivandrum.
