Technopark gets a brand new food court at Leela Infopark

Tvm: Harmony @ Food, the new food court has made its debut at the Leela Infopark building in the Technopark campus in Trivandrum. The new food court gives succour to the techies as it comes at a time when there is a controversy regarding the audit of existing restaurants, food outlet and joints in Technopark. The food court on the 12th floor was inaugurated today by V J Jayakumar, CEO, Leela Infopark.

Five outlets of leading restaurants have opened their counters today and three more are expected soon. The counters are classified as North Indian, South Indian, wraps, juice and ice creams. Spread over 15, 000 sq. ft., the food court offers ample space and varied choices for dining. To start off with, breakfast and lunch is being served.

Joy C, Proprietor, Harmony @ Food said, “We have customised the menu and the pricing to suit the techies working here. Most outlets will have combo offers and we are committed to the food quality. We are planning a barbeque and tandoor counter in the balcony which will function during the evenings. A separate ‘fine dine’ enclosure for CXOs is also in the pipeline.”

Talking to Kerala IT News, Jayakumar said, “The opening of a multi-cuisine food court in Leela multiplies the options for having good food in Technopark. Since quality of the food served is a big concern, we will take strict measures to ensure the quality. We have structured a three months notice and an exit clause in the contract with vendors, which will help us take tough action, in case a need arises. We are also contemplating a regular monitoring mechanism involving representatives from companies in the Leela Infopark building.” He also added that it will take about two to three weeks for the operations of the food court to stabilise.

Meanwhile, the IT professionals working in Technopark have welcomed the opening of the food court at Leela. Most are of the view that while this gives them more options, the presence of a new food court will also force other restaurants and food outlets to improve their quality.

At present, Meal / Food Coupons are not being accepted at the counters of the new food court. According to Joy, this will be settled in about a week to ten days time.
