India IT Summit 2012 to showcase Kerala’s IT growth story


Tvm: The India IT Summit 2012, to be held in Thiruvananthapuram on January 19 & 20, 2012, will showcase the growth of the IT industry in Kerala. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the third edition of Summit will deliberate on the theme ‘Business Strategies for Non-Linear Growth’ which would take the IT industry in Kerala to the next level.

At a press conference in Trivandrum on January 10, to announce India IT Summit 2012, V K Mathews, Chairman, India IT Summit & Executive Chairman, IBS Software Services said, “The main objective of this Summit is to facilitate the accelerated growth of the IT & ITES industry in Kerala and one way to achieve this is to hold high profile IT events across the State where thought leaders would articulate relevant issues to various stakeholders. India IT Summit will be the ideal platform for increased visibility of the State as an IT destination through national exposure”.

Kerala Chief Minister, Shri Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the third edition of India IT Summit. Minister for IT & Industries, Shri P K Kunhalikutty will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural session and Minister for Labour & Rehabilitation, Shri Shibu Baby John, will deliver the keynote address during the valedictory session. KPMG, the Knowledge Partner for the event, will bring out a white paper on the theme of the event and the general outlook for the Indian IT industry.

India IT Summit 2012 would have over 20 speakers of national and international eminence from the Indian IT industry, diplomatic circles and the global user industry. The summit would consist of four plenary sessions spread over two days of deliberation and discussion. IT Industry Challenges for Sustaining Growth, Partnering for Global Economic Revival, Preparedness to Address the Challenges and Innovation as the way forward are the topics for the plenary sessions.

Top diplomats from Germany, UK, Netherlands and Japan have also been invited to participate to give their perspective of how the Indian IT industry can add value to customers in their respective countries against the backdrop of the global economic uncertainty.
