UST Global expands Bangalore operations with new facility


Tvm: UST Global, the California based IT services company with a very prominent presence in Technopark, Trivandrum and Infopark, Kochi, today unveiled its new facility in Bangalore. The complex at Shantiniketan, near Whitefield on the outskirts of the city, was inaugurated by Joe Nalkara, President, UST Global. The Shantiniketan facility will initially accommodate 500 – 600 associates with the capacity to expand to over 5,000. The new facility, in addition to the existing office on Residency Road, marks UST Global’s expansion in Bangalore.

Elaborating on UST Global’s expansion plans, Satendra (Dan) Gupta, Chairman, UST Global stated that the company’s offshore operations have so far so been centred around South India and the Philippines. It now makes sense to build a broader base in the IT Capital of India, Bangalore. “After being the forerunner in creating opportunities and retaining the position of the largest employer in the IT Sector in tier 2 cities of Kerala, we believe our expansion in Bangalore is the next step towards ‘Transforming Lives’, which is the mission of UST Global”, he added.

Alexander Varghese, Country Head, UST Global said, “With the coming up of second facility in Bangalore, UST Global is looking forward to a considerable growth here. The availability of a large talent pool of experienced and fresh talent, and being the favourite city to work in, among the techies, makes Bangalore an obvious location to be present in, for UST Global.

“UST Global is also building a new flagship campus in the Thiruvananthapuram Special Economic Zone (Technopark Phase II), the first phase of which is expected to be completed soon. Once operational, this 3 million sq. ft. campus shall be a major hub for offshore IT services offered by the organisation”, he added.

Headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California the company fosters client-specific cutting-edge innovation from its state-of-the-art centres in India and the Philippines. Outside Kerala, UST Global has operations in Chennai also, besides Bangalore.
