IIITM-K to organise workshop on e-Governance initiatives


Tvm: As part of e-Governance initiatives for the benefit of Government employees, industry participants and public at large, the Technopark, Trivandrum based Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management – Kerala (IIITM-K) is organising a three days workshop on Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) during March 26-28, 2012. The last date for registration is March 23.

Bhudeb Chakravarti, Senior General Manager & Region Head, National Institute for Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad and visiting Faculty of IIITM-K is the chief resource person for the workshop. NISG is an institutional mechanism for leading private sector competencies and resources including financial resources into e Governance projects in order to accelerate effective governance in an effective manner. NISG is helping the Government of India and State Governments realize the national e-governance vision.

Detailed Project Report is a formal, approved document used to guide both project execution and project control. The primary uses of the project plan are to document planning assumptions and decisions, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and document approved scope, cost, and schedule baselines. Public-private partnership describes a government service or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies.
