Keltron bags Rs.25 crores order from BGR Energy Systems


Trivandrum: The Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) has bagged an order for Rs.25 crores from the Chennai based M/s BGR Energy Systems Ltd. The order is for the manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of sixteen 500KVA Digital Signal Processor based UPS system, different capacity Inverters, Battery Chargers of different ratings and Boost Chargers. The equipments are for the control and power systems of the 700MW Nuclear Power generation at Rajasthan and Kakrappar Atomic Power Plants.

The order will be executed by the Power Electronics Group of Keltron which functions from the Keltron Equipment Complex at Karakulam near Trivandrum. The Power Electronics Group (PEG) of Keltron is a pioneer in the field of UPS Systems in the country designing and manufacturing to a diverse range of applications. The Keltron Power electronic products conform to the international standards.

Keltron is one of the preferred suppliers for higher capacity UPS, Inverter and Battery chargers for critical nuclear power plant applications. Keltron has already supplied and commissioned similar equipments in Nuclear Power Plants at Kaiga, Rajasthan, Narora, Tarapur, Kakkrappar etc. BHEL, NTPC, BARC, GAIL, EIL, ONGC, BPCL, MRPL etc are the regular customers of Keltron for Power Electronics Systems.
