Kochi: A group of youngsters in the city have launched an online consumer goods delivery service to tackle unemployment. The website, Palacharakku.com, was launched by the Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, Shri Anoop Jacob in Kochi today. The idea of Palacharakku.com is to provide a platform which will make the supermarket come to the customer’s doorstep.
According to a release, customers have to place the order on the website and the service will ensure that the items are delivered on time. Customers wouldn’t have to spend their time in supermarket and can save a lot of time and money in transport and save fuel too. The items delivered will be of premium quality.
Abin Peter, Sivakumar Chandran and Joel Ben Gabriel are the three youths behind this novel venture. The guys hope that Palacharaku.com would engage the unemployed youths in this consumer service and serve the customers.
“The ambition of Palacharakku.com is simple. Make sure that the society gets what it wants and in turn, also tackle unemployment headlong. Initially we plan to concentrate on a zone and slowly add more zones to the operation and finally conduct operations across the city. The start had to be from Kochi city, as this has been a city which has moulded the team behind the venture. Later, we want to open operations across Kerala. We intend to create a competitive brand, which the people can trust and depend on,” said Abin Peter, Founder Partner, Palacharakku.com.
Customers can place their orders anytime between 11 am and 8 pm. Orders placed through the website will receive a confirmation call before processing. Orders can be modified or cancelled within one hour of placing. Orders placed till 4 pm will be delivered between 6 pm and 9 pm the same day and those after 4 pm will be delivered between 10 am and 12 noon on the next working day. All items are subject to market availability and a nominal service charge will be charged for each delivery.
