Kannur: Inexoft Technologies, a Kannur based IT services company, has launched Kerala’s first online portal for milk producers and farmers. The Bakkalam Ksheerolpadaka Sahakarana Sangham (KSS) has made history by installing the portal at their society, thereby providing direct access to their farmers to their milk production and accounts through internet with a user name and protected password.
According to a statement from Inexoft, the website with the online portal facility is perhaps the first of its kind in the history of the Dairy Cooperatives in Kerala. The portal connects with ‘Ksheerasoft’, the dairy management and accounting software installed at the society.
By accessing the website a farmer can get information about their total milk production, quality of the milk supplied and other key parameters like FAT, SNF, CLR added milk if any and the corresponding milk price based on the quality. Farmer can verify their records any time for any period as they wish. Also, the farmer will get information on various cattle diseases and related problems and necessary advices from the Doctors through the site.
Access permission to the portal is also available for the Dairy Development Department to collect information about the society’s functioning and financial and fund usage information. Bakkalam KSS is also perhaps the first fully computerised milk cooperative society in Kerala where paper work has been brought to nil. The software has been developed and maintained by Inexoft Technologies, headed by K P N Kutty, former MD of Keltron.
