KSEB & Federal Bank join hands to enable online electricity bill payment


Trivandrum: Federal Bank has launched Payment Gateway facility for KSEB consumer bill payment. This facility enables KSEB consumers to make Bill payments online at ease. Using this facility, KSEB consumers having account with any Bank can pay their periodic electricity bills online using Debit card, Credit card and Net banking. The service is available to customers 24×7.

According to a press release, Federal Bank is the only Bank to provide payment gateway facility for KSEB Bill payment. The Bank will shortly enable payment through Scan N Pay, the QR code based payment facility pioneered by Federal Bank.

K I Varghese, Chief General Manager, Federal Bank and M Sivasankar IAS, Chairman & Managing Director, KSEB launched the facility at a function held at Vydyuthi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram today, in the presence of Babu K A, Digital Banking Head; Sunny K P, Addl. GM (IT); and Paul N K, DGM & Zonal Head, Federal Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Varghese said “Federal Bank has always been focused towards providing innovative solutions to improve customer convenience in banking. The Bank is privileged to associate with KSEB to launch the payment gateway facility that will enable the consumers to pay their power bills any time and on the go. We will soon be enabling payment through Scan n Pay, Federal Bank’s innovative QR code based mobile payment solution, which is one of the most convenient and secured online payment solution available”.

In his comments, Sivasankar said, “KSEB has begun to offer online payment facilities for bills to the consumers in 2013. Federal Bank is the first bank to partner with KSEB in this project. With this association customers of Federal Bank could make online payment of their bills without the hassle of visiting the section offices. Today, Federal Bank has come forward to take this to the next level by integrating their Payment Gateway. Now customers of Federal Bank have the choice of making payment of their electricity bills using net banking, debit card and credit card. The same facility is available for the customers of other banks also.”
