Koratty: Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan, today inaugurated the Phase 1 of the new state-of-the-art facility, Infopark Koratty in Thrissur that belongs to Kerala IT. Allotment for the Phase 1 (about 40, 000 sq.ft across seven Villa /buildings) of the Koratty Infopark project launched in January this year is 90 per cent completed with 13 companies buying space to set up offices that will employ about 500 professionals.
The companies setting up office in Koratty Infopark are Bluelabs Technology Solutions, Braddock Infotech, Cent Technologies, Infoprism Solutions, Advaya Infotech, Scienetic Technologies, Mulberry Technologies, Sahradaya Infotech, Glitz IT Solutions, Sans Infotech, Guidelines Softnet Technologies, Exar Software Research, and Gem Management.
“When the land was acquired, we had promised that we should be able to start operations within a year. I am glad that we are able to fulfill that promise ahead of time. I will not be surprised if Koratty becomes a competitor to Kochi as an IT destination in Kerala” said Dr. Ajay Kumar, IT Secretary, Government of Kerala. He further added, “Kerala is the next emerging attraction for IT and our objective is to be able to garner a large portion of the industry in the tier 2 and tier 3 locations.”
Mr. Siddhartha Bhattacharya, CEO, Infopark, said “Inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility is a milestone and emphasizes the growth of Infopark in such a short span of time and I am confident that we are headed in the right direction. We are proud to be part of this growth story with Thrissur playing a key role in making the state one of India’s finest IT destinations. As part of tradition, we at Kerala IT have been following the concept of Green in our established IT park such as Infopark Kochi and maintaining the same for our upcoming projects like Infopark Cherthala and Infopark Ambalapuzha. Infopark Koratty, is the latest IT park on the plate to follow the suite.”
The park developed in 30 acres at the end of the second phase will have IT buildings of approximately 70, 000 sq. ft area with plug and play facilities. Seven buildings at the Koratty Infopark are ready to occupy and they have been named around flowering trees like Gulmohar, Rajamalli, Chandanam, Mandaram, Ashokam, Devatharam to name a few.
Also present at the Inauguration were, Shri KP Rajendran, Honourable Minister for Revenue, Shri Elamaram Kareem, Honourable Minister for Industries, Shri NK Premachandran, Honourable Minister for Water Resources, Shri Jos Thettayil, Honourable Minister for Transport, Printing & Stationery, Shri Kadannapally Ramachandran, Honourable Minister for Devaswom.
