BSNL rolls out Onam prepaid plan exclusively for Kerala


Trivandrum: BSNL Kerala Circle has rolled out a prepaid plan called Onam, with one-year validity, exclusively for its customers in Kerala. The new Onam prepaid plan was launched by renowned architect and founder of Habitat Technology Group, Padma Shri G Shankar at a function held in Thiruvananthapuram today.

The Rs. 44 prepaid plan has several freebies for the first 30 days including free data of 500 MB. The plan provides a talk value of Rs 20 with calls to BSNL numbers costing only 5 paise per minute and calls to other networks at 10 paise per minute. After one month, calls will be charged at 1paise per second from anywhere to any network in India. Data will cost 10 paise per MB (approximately Rs. 100 per GB.) The plan also offers a friends and family package with calls to four local numbers at 10 paise per minute for BSNL numbers and 20 paise per minute for other networks.

The Onam plan offers local SMS at 25 paise and STD SMS at 38 paise. Full talk value is available on top up of Rs. 110, Rs. 200, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000. Migration to this plan is allowed with 500 MB data. The validity can be extended by recharging with Rs.44.
