Ration Card Online Application goes live across Kerala
Tvm: The online system for submission of application forms for Ration Cards has gone live across Kerala from September 01, 2010. The Civil Supplies Department of the Kerala Government had launched this service in Trivandrum on July 23, 2010. The Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri C Divakaran, during the inauguration, had announced that the system would be rolled out across the State by September. The National Informatics Centre, Kerala has designed, developed and implemented this project.

Tvm: Education Minister Shri M A Baby today launched the website of the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala along with two other portals, Scholar and Gurusmarana, at a function held at Government Women's College in Trivandrum.
IT@School to start Educational Reality Show on ViCTERS Channel
Tvm: In an effort to bring out the achievements of Government and Aided Schools in different areas, the IT@School project of the Kerala Government will be starting an Educational Reality Show on its ViCTERS Channel. This show will be an attempt to integrate the learning elements with the societal roles of children. Both children and teachers will be presenting the achievement of their schools with the help of videos and IT enabled communication tools.
NeGP to replicate ICT success stories


Tvm: The National e-Governance Programme is looking for successful ICT programmes from various states for replication across the country. This was stated by Anurag Goyal, Director, National e-Governance Programme, during a chat with Kerala IT News. Anurag was on a two day visit to Kerala coinciding with the stop of the Commonwealth Express at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Station.
Kerala IT to showcase ICT gains on Commonwealth Express

Tvm: The Kerala IT Department with its various agencies will be using the Commonwealth Express train, which arrives in the state next week, to showcase the achievements in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Kerala State IT Mission, Akshaya, C-DIT, IIITM-K, Keltron, NIC and Kerala IT (Technopark & Infopark) are the organisations that would be exhibiting their success stories.
Education Department launches File Messaging System
Tvm: Education Minister Shri M A Baby lauched the File Messaging System of the Education Department at Pareeksha Bhavan on August 17, 2010. The new system would enable SMS file tracking and status reports on mobile phones through SMS.
