Tvm: Kerala IT has signed a MoU with PRE Park, a major IT park in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The MoU provides for mutual cooperation between IT & ITeS firms operating in Kerala and those in Kaiserslautern for exploring business opportunities, new markets and outsourcing.

Budget gives impetus for e-Governance
Tvm: The Budget for 2010-11 presented by the State Finance Minister Dr. Thomas Isaac gives a big thrust for e-Governance and also m-Governance in Kerala. In his Budget speech, he mentioned the successful implementation of the SPARK, e-Filing and e-Payment systems.
Kerala IT runs TV ad blitz
Tvm: Kerala IT has launched a series of advertisements on leading television channels as part of its strategy to promote Kerala as an IT destination and to bring in more IT investments to the State. The IT Department’s two 15 second spots are now coming on a leading English News channel and its Business counterpart.
Sexual harassment? Register complaint online
Tvm: The Kerala State Women’s Commission has launched an online facility for lodging harassment complaints on its website. Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan inaugurated the revamped website of the State Women’s Commission at a function held in Thiruvananthapuram on March 1, 2010. The Women’s Commission is also set to launch an SMS system to book eve teasers.
Skoool chale hum
Tvm: For a generation that grew up listening to ‘School chale hum’, this is going to be a totally different experience in learning. Skoool Kerala, an online e-learning initiative of the IT@School and Intel was launched today by the State Education Minister, Shri M A Baby in Trivandrum. Kerala is the first state in the country to introduce Skoool content across all schools.
Kerala Land Bank goes online
Tvm: Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan launched the website of Kerala Land Bank today at a function. Inaugurating the Land Bank, the Chief Minister said that the government would rein in the land mafia in the state and would effectively curb all encroachments.
Cloud Computing Test Bed to be set up at IIITM-K
Tvm: The Kerala Government has decided to set up a Cloud Computing Test Bed at the IIITM-K campus. The implementation of the Test Bed would be carried out jointly by IIITM-K and C-DAC in two phases over a span of six months.
