Budget gives impetus for e-Governance

Tvm: The Budget for 2010-11 presented by the State Finance Minister Dr. Thomas Isaac gives a big thrust for e-Governance and also m-Governance in Kerala. In his Budget speech, he mentioned the successful implementation of the SPARK, e-Filing and e-Payment systems.

Skoool chale hum

Tvm: For a generation that grew up listening to ‘School chale hum’, this is going to be a totally different experience in learning. Skoool Kerala, an online e-learning initiative of the IT@School and Intel was launched today by the State Education Minister, Shri M A Baby in Trivandrum. Kerala is the first state in the country to introduce Skoool content across all schools.

Six new Technolodges to come up

Tvm: The Government of Kerala has sanctioned the setting up of six new Technolodges in the State. These Technolodges are to come up in the districts of  Kollam, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kannur.

Coffee Table Book to promote IT@Kerala

Tvm: In an initiative to promote the Kerala IT brand, the IT Department of the Kerala Government has brought out an IT Coffee Table Book called ‘IT@Kerala - The Smart State'. Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan released the book by handing over the first copy to Dr. Ajay Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary (IT) at a function held at the CM’s Chamber today.

Empowering the Differently Abled using ICT

Tvm: The Kerala State IT Mission as part of their initiative to to bring the benefits of ICT to the differently abled through its Insight project conducted a seminar on the topic 'Empowering the Differently Abled' on January 13, 2010 at Technopark. The aim of the session was to sensitize the employers in IT/ITES sector about employing the differently abled.
