Tvm: Education Minister Shri M A Baby launched the department's Scholarship Information Portal today. The idea of this website by the Education Department is to bring all educational scholarships offered by various government departments on a single platform.
Speaking after the launch, Mr. M A Baby said that the Higher Education Scholarship Fund instituted by the Kerala State Higher Education Council and inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh recently, would also be brought under the ambit of the website soon.
The website launch is based on the recommendations of the report of the committee on revamping scholarship schemes which was also presented to the Minister today. A major recommendation of the committee is to make online all processes from issuing application to disbursement of scholarships from the next academic year.
