Sasthra Univ from Thanjavur wins TechTop 2010

Tvm: The fifth edition of TechTop came to a close today with the team from Sasthra University of Thanjavur walking away with the Degree C Award and a cash prize of Rs. One Lakh for their project on ‘Production of Nano-carbon sheets from the exhaust pipies in Industries’. Jaipur Engineering College was the runner up and Cape Institute of Technology from Tirunelveli came third.

TechTop 2010 kicks off at Technopark

Tvm: Yet another edition of TechTop got off to a colourful start at the Park Centre in Technopark Trivandrum with the formal inauguration by the Education Minister Shri M A Baby on July 30, 2010. TechTop is a National Innovation Competition for Engineering Students across the country. TechTop 2010 is the fifth edition of this annual competition organised by Technopark and Degree Controls Inc, in an effort to locate budding techno entrepreneurs at an early stage.

Technopark website gets a fresh avataar

Tvm: Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan launched a new website of Technopark on its 20th anniversary at a brief function held at the CM’s Conference Hall in Secretariat on July 28, 2010. The new website is a comprehensive site with lot of features and is expected to be more user friendly. The Technopark website was originally done in 1994 and was redone in 2002. Since then, this is the major revamp of the site.

Denmark to welcome IT cos from Kerala

Tvm: Denmark is all set to roll out the red carpet for IT companies from Kerala planning to set shop there. A session on ‘Market Opportunities in Denmark’ was organised by the Group of Technology Companies (GTech) and Technopark in partnership with the Invest in Denmark organisation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark at Technopark last week.
