Tvm: T P Nandakumar, Chief Editor of a popular Malayalam investigative and crime news fortnightly called Crime, was arrested on Saturday by the Cyber Police for publishing an offensive and defamatory article about a NRI businessman on its website. He was arrested on the basis of a complaint by an Abu Dhabi based businessman, Alexander.

Tvm: Avanzo, a Thrissur based Charitable Trust, has launched a toll free Cyber Crime helpline (1800-266-8001) and a Cyber Crime awareness website. The activities of the Trust were launched by V V Vinod, Secretary, Trivandrum Management Association at a function held in Trivandrum today. Posters for spreading awareness about Cyber Crimes among school children were also launched on the occasion.
Janamaithri & Residents Associations takes up Cyber Crime awareness
Tvm: As part of the community policing scheme of Kerala Police, the Janamaithri Suraksha project has teamed up with Residents Associations to spread awareness about Cyber Crimes. A session on Cyber Crime for residents under the Medical College Police Station was conducted today in Thiruvananthapuram.
Cyber Detective to launch Cyber Crime Helpline
Thrissur: Avanzo Charitable Trust, under the initiative of its managing trustee Ms.Dhanya Menon - Cyber Detective & Crime Investigator - is all set to launch a toll free Cyber Crime helpline. The launch is scheduled on June 30, 2010. The toll free helpline number will be announced at the launching ceremony.
Student in Police net for tampering online Entrance Option
Tvm: A 22 year old BDS Student has been arrested by the Cyber Police today for tampering with the online Engineering option after the Common Entrance Examination in 2008. Geetu, who had ranked 1757 in the 2008 Common Entrance Examination, had complained to the DGP that she got admission in the Government Engineering College at Kozhikode even though she did not opt for the same.
Hate Blogger arrested
Tvm: A Blogger who has been spreading a hate campaign against the Nair community through his blog has been arrested by the Kerala Police on the basis of a complaint given by the NSS General Secretary P K Narayana Panicker.
Tvm City Police set to enhance Cyber Café Security
Tvm: The Thiruvananthapuram City Police in association with Ideacts Innovations, an Internet solutions company is set to enhance Cyber Café Security in the city with the introduction of a Café Management software.
