Kochi: UK based Kloudpad Mobility Research which is gearing up to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kochi, will offer their Kloudpad 3G tablet with preloaded CBSE or State syllabus study content to students in Kerala at a discounted price.
To begin with, the Company will launch an online campaign to reach out to the students. It will later tie-up with the State Education Department and the Kerala CBSE School Managements Association to offer tablets to all students from Class Six to Twelve.
“As we gear up for major investments in Kerala, we want to send out a message that we are really committed to improving education facilities for students. We are pursuing avenues to partner with the state government to offer the scheme to a wider group of students,” said Aromal Jayaraj, Co-founder & MD of Kloudpad, in a release.
The Intel-powered tablet, which was launched at CeBIT India in Bangalore recently, will be offered to students with preloaded ‘Smart School’ class content for Rs 10,999, against its actual price of Rs 14,000. The Smart School’ application offers interactive CBSE/ ICSE and State Syllabus approved study content.
“The classroom content, as per the syllabus, will be bundled only after the student registers at kloudpad.in for activation,” said Abbishek Jayaraj, CEO, Global Business Operations, Kloudpad.
The student will need to fill up the online form at kloudpad website to enter his name, school, student ID card copy, classroom choice and curriculum. They can avail of a discount code for ordering the Kloudpad tablet bundled with the classroom content.
The Kloudpad tablet which was launched by Intel India President, Kumud Srinivasan at CeBIT uses Intel processors and is the brand advantage partner of Intel for tablet PCs in India.
The company has a full-fledged research and development centre at Startup Village, Kochi and is in talks with Sony Corporation for integrating their high speed data transfer technology into Kloudpad tablets for instant touch transfer of high volume data like e-learning content.
Kloudpad Mobility Research started its operations in the city through the Emerging Kerala investor meet hosted by the Kerala government in 2012.
