Tvm: H E Thomas Matussek, Ambassador of Federal Republic of German to India, visited Technopark today along with Rolf Saligmann, Consul General for Karnataka & Kerala.
Briefing reporters on his Kerala visit, Thomas Matussek said, “I am amazed to see the Technopark in Trivandrum which is not known in Germany. Kerala is known for its tourism attractiveness and I give my complete assurance that I will try and bring Kerala into limelight and to the official IT business map of Germany.” The scope of his visit is to enlarge and foster the relationship with Kerala now that it’s becoming a hub of moden technology, especially IT. He is looking forward to improving the relationship with Technopark.
He also had a 15 minute interaction with the Technopark Group of Companies (GTECH) members where CEOs of 20 Technopark companies participated. Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark welcomed the dignitaries and said, “This is the first visit by H E Thomas Matussek outside New Delhi and it shows the importance that Germany is giving to Kerala as one of the promising IT investment destinations.”
The Ambassador also promised that he will talk to the Bavarian State to consider Kerala and Technopark as a potential partner to do business and added that he is determined to visit Kerala at least once a year to provide maximum support for the growth of Indo-German business. Rolf Salgimann mentioned that he will try and help Technopark companies in obtaining necessary business visas in case of any problems faced.
