Tvm: With the Kerala capital all geared up to host the Indian Science Congress, the Technopark – TePP Outreach Centre (T-TUC) is chipping in with some value-addition at the event.
The T-TUC will be co-coordinating the conduct of the Technopreneur Promotion Programme (TePP), Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) Innovators’ Pride of India Exhibition during the 97th Indian Science Congress (ISC), to be held from January 3 – 7, 2010 at Trivandrum.
The event innovators from TePP Outreach Centres across the country will exhibit their innovations in the exhibition stalls. As many as 20 innovators from different TUCs across the country will be displaying their prototypes during the exhibition.
A major role is being played by Technopark TUC which is actively participating in the Indian Science Congress with its innovators in areas like automobile, medical electronics, clean tech, green energy, agriculture, bio medical, and embedded projects. The Technopark Technology Business Incubator companies are also participating in the Exhibition with their Innovative products. According to Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark, “this will provide very good visibility to Technopark and its new initiatives throughout the country.”
“The incubation and innovation support of Technopark will get a leap by participating in India’s largest Science Exhibition,” added K C C Nair, co-coordinator of the DSIR TePP programmes in Technopark.
TePP is Technopark’s entrepreneur support mechanism, initiated by the DSIR to tap the innovative potential of entrepreneurial citizens of India. The objective is to promote individual innovators through support mechanism at various stages to become technology-based entrepreneurs (Technopreneurs). Technopark is one of the outreach centers of DSIR for selection and evaluation of genuine innovators and entrepreneurs in the country.
