Tvm: About 300 employees from various companies in Technopark took part in a 4 km run inside the sprawling Technopark campus as part of the World Health Day celebrations. The run was organised by Seaview Support Systems, a health BPO firm based in Technopark in association with NIMS Hospital, Neyyantinkara and Technopark.
The event was flagged off by K V Rajendran, GM, Technopark from the Technopark Club. The idea of this mass run for Technopark employees came from the theme of the 2010 World Health Day, 1000 cities 1000 lives.
Speaking on the occasion, K Ramachandran Nair, Dy GM (P&A), Technopark stressed the need to adopt an active lifestyle among the employees. Raju Harilal, CEO, Seaview Support Systems; Faizal Khan, MD, NIMS and Sasidharan, Administrator, Technopark Club were among the participants of this run, which was organised in Technopark for the first time.
A CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) demo was conducted after the run by the NIMS medical team led by its senior physician Dr. Shiji Thomas. He also chaired a Q & A session on health matters in which he answered a volley of questions from the enthusiastic participants. An ambulance from NIMS was also in attendance to support the event.
