TMA to create awareness on Corporate & Cyber Terrorism

Tvm: The Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) will be organising a seminar on combating Corporate & Cyber Terrorism on April 30, 2010 in Trivandrum to alert the corporate community and government agencies engaged in sensitive tasks.

This comes in the backdrop of alarmingly increasing incidences of corporate espionage and cyber infiltration. The recent expose by Canadian and US experts on the infiltration of Indian computer system by Chinese hackers may be just a tip of the iceberg, according to experts in this field. In a recent study, 83% of corporates in India won’t reveal a cyber attack or an incidence of industrial espionage. TMA hopes to address and create awareness on these issues through this seminar which would be targeted at empowering the CXOs of companies.

K P Hormis Tharakan, National Security Advisory Board Member and ex RAW Director and Rohit Mahajan, Executive Director (Forensic Sciences) of KPMG in India will be the key resource persons who will deliberate on the ways and means to tackle this invisible and covered form of terrorism. The need for Identity due diligence, Forensic Audit in companies, Systems Capability and Corporate Security Network are some of the topics that will be covered in this seminar.

M Ayyappan, CMD, Hindustan Latex Lifecare Ltd. and Dr P T Nandakumar IPS, President – TMA were among those present to announce this seminar. The TMA is affiliated to All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi.
