Ramanathan Natarajan was the Vice President and Centre Head of the Design and Development Centre of Tata Elxsi in Trivandrum. He was also leading the development centres in Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Coimbatore.
Natarajan joined Tata Elxsi in April 2001 from a senior position at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), and under his able leadership, the centre in Thiruvananthapuram grew from a small core team to the centre of excellence with over 700 engineers today. His contributions to Tata Elxsi in the last nine years were many and varied, and his leadership qualities and spirit of winning, set him apart.
In his condolence message, Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark said, “The Technopark community will sorely miss him, a man always with a smiling face. May his soul rest in peace and may his family members have the strength to bear the loss”. Talking to Kerala IT News, Binu Sankar, CEO, GTech said, “It’s a great loss to Technopark. He was a great technologist and a leader par excellence. We had a long association with him and he will be missed badly”.
Natarajan had more than 30 years of experience in embedded technology in providing mission critical solutions for different business verticals like avionics, automotive and industrial automation. He was regarded as a visionary leader and highly respected by everyone who worked with him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all. His bereaved family includes his mother, wife and two daughters.
