Tvm: The Technopark based Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala (IIITM-K) has announced the extension of the dates for admissions to its academic programmes.
The last date for applying for the Post Graduate Diploma in e-Governance has been extended to May 31, 2010 while for the advanced Post Graduate programmes of Master of Science in Information Technology and M Phil in Ecological Informatics, the last date now is June 10, 2010.
The one year full time PG Diploma in e-Governance (PGDeG) programme, offered jointly with the Institute of Management in Government (IMG), is based on the recommendations of the Administrative Reforms Commission, to produce trained professionals to implement and manage e-Governance projects in a disciplined manner. The programme focuses on capacity building in e-Governance through developing foundations in IT, Management, Government Process Reengineering and Change Management. The PGDeG is awarded by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala. SC / ST students admitted to PGDeG course are offered financial assistance to the extent of Rs.75,000 by Government of Kerala.
The Master of Science in IT and M Phil in Ecological Informatics courses are affiliated to and awarded by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Students admitted to these two programmes with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination are offered scholarship @ Rs.8,000/- pm to cover Tuition fee, University fee and living expenses under the SPEED IT programme of Kerala Government. A few seats are reserved for NRI / foreign national students. IIITM-K has an excellent track record of placing its students in leading organizations.
