Tvm: HRCM player Accentia Technologies has bought out strategic stake in UK based IQ Group, leaders in communications in computing solutions for healthcare, product development and consultancy specializing in software, electronics and user interfaces for demanding embedded systems in healthcare industry.
The Technopark based Accentia is a leading end-to-end Business Process Management company offering managed services in healthcare receivables cycle management (HRCM), e-publishing, and data Processing and warehousing. Though the financials of the deal have not been revealed, it has been pointed out that the IQ Group consists of three companies – Tectiq Ltd., Centriq Ltd. and Neologiq Ltd.
Centriq is a communications and computing solutions provider for healthcare industry in Europe and the Middle East. The company, through its unique blend of healthcare and technical expertise and designs, deploys and maintains healthcare IT infrastructure in hospitals across Middle East and Europe.
Tactiq is a product development consultancy specialising in software, electronics and user interfaces for demanding embedded systems for the Healthcare, Automotive, Defence and Industrial markets. Tactiq, with its collaborative engineering approach and high level of expertise, dramatically reduce the risk of innovative product development and increase the speed to market.
Meanwhile, Neologiq is the product development arm of the IQ Group for the healthcare segment. Neologiq has already launched a number of successful products for the healthcare market including Imageworx and Exambench. A host of new products, including digital laparoscope are in the advanced stages of development and awaiting IP registration.
According to Pradeep Viswambharan, CEO, Accentia, “The acquisition of IQ Group, UK is a transformative event for us. The synergy from the technical/computing expertise of IQ Group in Healthcare sector and the strong service delivery model and process outsourcing expertise of Accentia would enable us to capture a considerable market share of the enormous new opportunities being opened up in the light of the new healthcare reforms in the US”. He added that “Tactiq’s consulting expertise in non-healthcare areas would add a great deal of value to our planned foray into Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) market through a sizeable acquisition in the very near future.”
