Tvm: Infosys CEO & MD, S Gopalakrishnan has said that IT is doing very well in Kerala. Kris, as he is more popularly known, said this after he called on Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan today morning at his residence. Kris termed this as a courtesy call after he took over as the Chairman of CII Southern Region.
Talking to the media after his meeting, Kris also said that Infosys is doing good in Kerala and this reflects the changing investment climate of the state. He said that IT has the potential to create economic growth for Kerala and Technopark is a good example for others to emulate. The meeting also discussed the formation of a joint task force between the Government and CII to promote investment and industries in Kerala.
Later briefing the media, the CM told that the CII team led by S Gopalakrishnan has also submitted a report of the CII Study of Skill Gap in Kerala and the task force would be formed in about ten days. IT, Tourism, Food Processing and Ayurveda would be the focus areas of this task force.
Kris’ visit comes in less than two weeks after Wipro Chairman Azim Premji visited the CM on May 25, 2010.
