Trivandrum to host K-MUG DevCon 2010 this weekend


Tvm: The Kerala Microsoft Users Group (K-MUG) will be organising their Developers Conference, DevCon 2010 on July 03 & 04, 2010 at the Technopark in Trivandrum. Billed as the largest tech event in Kerala, DevCon 2010 would see about 300 hardcore techies converging in Technopark for the two-day event.

Technical sessions, Programming contests for the participants are some of the activities being planned for the event. Technical sessions would be held on topics like new features in VS2010, Developing with .NET 4.0 and VS2010, Visual Studio 2010 and Office 2010, WCF Data Service, Windows Phone 7, SharePoint 2010, Tuning Tools in SQL Server 2008, Web Security and Security Auditing, and Windows Azure. A blogging contest (pre-event and post event) is also part of the event.

Registration for DevCon 2010 would begin on Monday, June 14, 2010. According to Sreejumon K P, one of the organisers, “The seats will be released in batches and registration will be done accordingly. Even if it’s not available on one day, you get a chance to register on some other day. During our past events, many people couldn’t get the seats because all seats got filled up soon after we opened the registration.”

K-MUG is one of the most successful technical communities in India, which focus on Microsoft Technologies. Participation in K-MUG is an excellent, inexpensive way to receive technical content, education and to meet with peers to get more out of the Microsoft platforms, products, technologies, and resources.
