Kochi: If you ever wanted to have a meeting with no fixed agenda – to meet fellow techies, entrepreneurs, investors, developers or creative genius from all areas of business to share knowledge and get new business contacts – well, this is it. Open Coffee is a regular informal meeting organised every month at Kochi where everyone who is ‘online’ can join to discuss ideas, brainstorm and network, all over a refreshing cup of coffee.
Open Coffee is organised by Bridge India, a Dutch IT company based in Kochi. Bridge has been successfully organising Open Coffee in Hoorn and Alkmaar in Netherlands over the years. According to Hugo Messer, CEO of Bridge Outsourcing BV who started Bridge India, “We felt this kind of an event was missing in Kochi and so we just thought of starting the same here.” The idea is to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise very informal meet-ups to chat, network and grow. This should also give entrepreneurs a space to meet, not just each other but also network with investors and corporates.
Talking to Kerala IT News, Sukesh Das, the organiser of Open Coffee for Bridge India, said “We had very good response for our last four sessions and we are now working on restructuring the event to take it beyond networking. I am sure this event will definitely contribute to business in Kerala as Open Coffee is an excellent platform in a relaxed and totally informal setting for networking and sharing knowledge whether they are students, entrepreneurs, investors or established businesses”.
