Alliance Française: Student’s Film Festival, Sept 10-11


Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India and filca will be organising a two-day Student’s Film Festival titled ‘L’Indiscrète’ on September 10-11, 2010 at Alliance Française de Trivandrum. The films present India, as seen by its young filmmakers.

The festival showcases 25 Short Films, Fiction, Animation and Documentary produced by the country’s foremost eight Film Institutes and Media Institutes. These films made in regular 35mm format or in the new digital medium indicate the direction in which the nation’s new generation of movie makers is moving. This package of youth films tell the world at large about the aspirations, frustrations, hopes, desires, disillusionment and prejudices of the new generation.

The films have been made at FTII, Pune; National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad; Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata; Whistling Woods International Ltd., Mumbai; MGR Government Film & Television Institute, Chennai; L V Prasad Film & TV Academy, Chennai; Mindscreen Film Institute, Chennai and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi.

Entry is free for this festival which includes three packages: Cities and Lives, Family Portraits & Tales from Past and Present.
