Kochi to host Microsoft Community Tech Day


Kochi: The Kerala Microsoft Users Group (K-MUG) will be organising a Microsoft Community Tech Day on October 23, 2010 at the IMA House in Kochi. This is part of a series of 13 Technical Sessions (Community Tech Days) being held across nine cities in India for Developers and IT Professionals.

Talking to Kerala IT News, Sreejumon K P, Founder of K-MUG said, “This is an excellent opportunity for software professionals to dive deep into the world of Microsoft technologies and get trained on the latest from Microsoft. Community Tech Days also help build real connections with Microsoft experts and community members. This helps in adding inspiration and skills needed to maximise your impact on your organisation while enhancing your career.”

T-SQL Tips and Tricks with SQL Server by Vinod Kumar; .NET Serialization and XML by Praseed Pai; Security Auditing and Accountability under Windows 2008 by Manu Zacharia; NoSQL Databases in .NET Apps by Shiju Varghese and Entity Framework 4 by Shalvin PD are some of the sessions being planned for the day.

The last Community Tech Day in Kochi held in January this year saw about 150 Microsoft enthusiasts participating in the event. Those interested can register either at the Community Tech Days website or the K-MUG homepage.

K-MUG is one of the most successful technical communities in India, which focus on Microsoft Technologies. K-Mug has received the Best Developer User Group in India award as part of the Microsoft Community Impact Awards 2010.
