Track Local Body Election Results online

Tvm: The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has made elaborate arrangements in association with the Kerala State Election Commission to bring the results of the 2010 Kerala Local Body Elections online. The counting of the votes of Local Body Elections held in two phases across Kerala has started today morning.

Check out the Trends Kerala website to know the latest on the Local Body Elections results. The website gives detailed information about the party wise leads in Panchayats, Blocks, Districts, Municipality and Corporation. It will also give detailed results once all the votes are counted. The site also gives information on the candidates and the polling stations.

Developed by NIC, the Trends is a technology-driven system, to streamline the declaration of election results. The software was successfully used in the last Assembly and Parliament elections in 2006 and 2009 respectively.

Apart from those interested in tracking the Local Body Elections results, the Trends Kerala website would be of great help to the media in reporting the results. The online transmission of results is facilitated by networking the counting centres, the local bodies, and the District Collectorates to make available state wide, ward level position at the earliest. The NICNET and KSWAN networks are being used by NIC for this purpose.
