Kerala e-Governance Awards 2009 winners


Tvm: The Kerala State e-Governance Awards 2009 were presented today at the e-Governance Awards Ceremony 2010 held today at the Institute of Management in Government (IMG) today. The list of winners in various categories is given below.

1st Prize: Kozhikode Collectorate for their innovative citizen service ‘Swabhiman’

1st Prize: General Education Department for the Malayalam Wiki project of IT@School
2nd Prize: Centre for South Indian Studies for developing bibliographic studies in Malayalam

1st Prize: MG University for its digital database of all its Ph.D thesis holdings

e-Payment Services
1st Prize: Commercial Taxes Department for enabling online payment of VAT and KGST

Citizen Services
1st Prize:
a) Kerala Public Service Commission for web enabling all government recruitment
b) Information Kerala Mission for ‘Sevana’, the online registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages

2nd Prize:
a) Commissioner for Entrance Examinations for doing the online seat selection process for admissions to 120 Engineering and 50 Medical Colleges in Kerala 
b) Directorate of Higher Secondary Education for their single window admission process for over 1,400 higher secondary schools in Kerala
3rd Prize: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation for its online ticket booking system

1st Prize: Kerala Tourism Development Corporation for its web marketing portal

2nd Prize: Alappuzha Collectorate for its Nehru Trophy Boat Race website

3rd Prize:
a) Suchitwa Mission for use of web technologies to promote sanitation and waste management
b) Institute of Human Resource Development for its portal covering over 80 Engineering Colleges and Technical Institutes in Kerala

Special Jury Award: Electrical Inspectorate Department for in-house development of cost effective touch screen information kiosk
