Nishagandhi festival @ Trivandrum: Jan 20-26


Tvm: The annual Nishagandhi Festival unveiling seven nights that celebrate classical Indian dance and music will be held from January 20, 2011 on the lush grounds of the magnificent Kanakakkunnu Palace in Trivandrum.

The festival will begin by honouring Prof. O N V Kurup and Dr. K J Yesudas. A carnatic vocal concert by Yesudas will be the highlight of day one. This will be followed by Qawwali, Sarangi & Ghazal, Hindustani – Carnatic Vocal Jugalbandi and Carnatic Double Violin concerts during the festival. The festival will features Mohiniyattam, Bharatanatyam, Sufiana Kathak, Odissi and Kuchipudi performances.
