UST Global unveils new facility in Leela Infopark Kochi

Kochi: California based IT services company UST Global today unveiled its new facility in Leela Infopark, Kochi. Spread over an area of 34,000 sq. ft., the office is styled to the themes of speed, passion and courage to celebrate the company’s partnership with UK based Formula One team Virgin Racing.

Inaugurating the complex, Sajan Pillai, CEO, UST Global said, “We were among the first to look at Kerala as an Information Technology services destination and we have a significant presence in the state today. Expanding our investment in Kerala makes good business sense, given the massive amount of untapped resources and talent available. Kochi will have a major role to play in the next generation of IT services”.

Alexander Varghese, India Head, UST Global said, “Our offshore operations have always been centred around South Asia, which is a globally recognised hub of IT talent. Investment in infrastructure goes hand in hand with expansion in employee strength. I would see this as a forerunner to our campus that is coming up in Trivandrum”.

Sunil Balakrishnan, Centre Head Kochi, UST Global said, “With our third state-of-the-art facility becoming operational, UST Global is poised for a huge growth at Kochi. The availability of a large talent pool of experienced and fresh talent, both in IT and BPO makes Kochi a strategic location for UST. The current expansion will elevate the Kochi centre from a ‘spoke’ to ‘hub’ in UST’s ‘hub-and-spoke’ model, enabling us to grow further to other smaller locations around Kochi”. The company plans to recruit about 600 resources for the new facility.

In addition to the newly commissioned facility, UST Global already has offices in 18 locations, spread across 4 continents. Each is designed in a signature style, according to a specific theme inspired by various factors. UST Global is also building a new flagship campus in the Special Economic Zone in Phase II of Technopark, Trivandrum, the first phase of which is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.
