Tvm: Alliance Française de Trivandrum in association with the Embassy of France in India is organising ‘Say Cheese’, an opportunity to discover the famed French Cheese, imported from France, with a reputed Cheese master on April 09, 2011 at Alliance Française de Trivandrum.
The session will be handled by Ali, who’s been trained by Daniel Dubosclard, a Cheese Master for more than 20 years. He will introduce and make people discover the variety gourmet French Cheese and cheese based delicious dishes.
A selection of five French cheeses, specially selected to suite the Indian palate, will be offered along with the famous French bread ‘baguette’. Each cheese will be explained in detail – its history, making and features. The place of French Cheese in daily meal, the importance of cheese in French cuisine and the art of cheese tasting will be explained.
How French cheese can be adapted to Indian cuisine, how cheese can be paired with wine (red, white or rosé) and how it can be served on a platter along with salads or fruits will also be explained. There will also be a demonstration of French cooking involving typical French dishes. Registration for the workshop is open till April 08.
